Privacy Policy

Odin, operated by Odinmarket.ai (“we,” “us,” “our”), is a personal net-worth tracker. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. By creating an account you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are & how to reach us

Odin is a web application available at networth.odinmarket.ai, operated by Odinmarket.ai. For any privacy question, data-access request, or deletion request, email privacy@odinmarket.ai.

2. The data we collect

  • Account & identity. Your email address, and an optional display name. We do not use passwords — sign-in is a one-time email link plus a passkey or authenticator app (see our Security page).
  • Financial data via Plaid. When you connect a bank, brokerage, or card through Plaid, we receive read-only account balances, investment holdings, and transactions. We never see or store your bank login credentials — those are entered inside Plaid’s own secure interface, not ours.
  • Manually entered assets. Any assets or liabilities you add yourself (cash, property, debts, tickers).
  • Optional profile. Self-reported details (age, income, goals, risk appetite) you choose to provide to personalize insights. All optional.
  • Technical data. Your timezone (to schedule briefings) and minimal operational logs. We use no third-party advertising or analytics trackers inside the application.

3. How we use your data

  • To calculate and display your net worth, balances, holdings, and trends.
  • To generate the insights, “Vitals,” and optional briefings you ask for.
  • To authenticate you and secure your account.
  • To send transactional messages (sign-in links, optional notifications you enable).

We do not sell your personal or financial data, and we do not use it for advertising. We do not initiate payments or transfers — access through Plaid is read-only.

4. Consent

We collect and process your financial data only after you actively connect an institution through Plaid and consent to the connection. You may withdraw consent at any time by unlinking an institution or deleting your account (Section 8).

5. How we share data

We share data only with the service providers needed to run Odin:

  • Plaid Inc. — to connect to your financial institutions. Plaid’s handling of your data is governed by Plaid’s own End User Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare — hosting, edge network, and our encrypted database.
  • Market-data and email-delivery providers, which receive only the minimum needed (e.g., a ticker symbol or your email address), never your aggregated financial picture.

We may disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and service. We do not otherwise share your data with third parties.

6. How we protect your data

  • Encryption in transit: TLS 1.2+ on every connection, with HSTS.
  • Encryption at rest: all data is encrypted at rest by our database platform. The most sensitive secrets — your Plaid access tokens and authenticator secrets — receive an additional layer of AES-256-GCM application-level encryption.
  • Phishing-resistant MFA: every account must enroll a passkey or authenticator app; we store no passwords.
  • Least access & isolation: your data is scoped to your account; Plaid access tokens never leave our servers.

7. Data retention

We keep your financial data only while your account is active, so we can show your history and trends. Transient records (sign-in links, expired sessions) are pruned automatically. When you delete your account, we erase your data as described below. Full details are in our Data Retention & Disposal Policy, available on request.

8. Your rights & choices

  • Access & portability: request a copy of your data.
  • Correction: edit your profile and manual entries in-app at any time.
  • Unlink: disconnect any institution to stop further data collection from it.
  • Deletion: delete your account from Profile → Delete account, or email privacy@odinmarket.ai. Deleting your account revokes all linked Plaid items and permanently erases your accounts, balances, holdings, transactions, profile, and credentials from our systems, typically immediately and in any case within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA, including the right to object to or restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We honor these requests at privacy@odinmarket.ai.

9. Children

Odin is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date when this policy changes. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email.
